Joining the Axe Throwing Craze

After trying out axe throwing just a few times, Mike Pastelak was hooked. So much so, that he decided to open his own establishment in Hickory. What was once Patriot Brew Thru quickly turned into Patriot Axe Throwing – and it took off. After seeing the great success that the Hickory location had, Mike decided it was time to expand. He chose Statesville after seeing the huge amount of growth in the area. “We need to get into Statesville because we think it’s starting to really grow, it’s starting to pop”, he said about the new location.

The new establishment is 5,500 square feet and features 18 lanes. If you visit the new Statesville location, you just might meet JB Singleton, the general manager – and one of the best axe throwers in the country. Being an expert himself, JB is just the person to help you master the art of axe throwing. He’s had guests anywhere from 10 to 86 years old, and says, “It really is for everyone”.
