Remembering Pam Navey-Federal

The Statesville Police Department is heartbroken by the unexpected passing of our friend and colleague, Pam Navey-Federal.

Pam dedicated more than 40 years to the criminal justice system in Iredell County, including more than a decade with the Statesville Police Department. Even after her retirement, Pam returned to the department to continue serving our community in the role she loved so much. Her commitment to helping others never wavered.

Pam had a unique ability to bring people together. She knew our community, cared deeply for those she served, and never hesitated to help someone in need. There wasn't a problem that came to our department that Pam couldn't help solve or someone she couldn't call to make a difference. She built relationships that strengthened trust between law enforcement and the community, and her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.

Chief David Onley shared, "Pam was truly one of a kind. She had an incredible heart for people and an unmatched ability to connect those in need with the right resources. Her passion for serving others made our department and our community stronger. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy of compassion and service will never be forgotten."

Pam was more than a coworker – she was a friend, a mentor, and an irreplaceable part of our department. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.
