Christy Cleary Promoted to Captain at the Statesville Police Department
The Statesville Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of Christy Cleary to the rank of Captain.
Captain Cleary began her career with the department in May 2014, starting on patrol. She transitioned to Investigations in June 2015, where she has continued to build her career and expertise.
In July 2016, she was promoted to Corporal within Investigations, followed by her promotion to Master Corporal in May 2021. In January 2023, she was promoted to Sergeant, continuing her leadership within the Investigations Division.
She was promoted to Captain in March and continues to serve within the Investigations Division.
“Captain Cleary has built her career through hard work and a strong commitment to investigative excellence,” said Chief David Onley. “Her leadership within Investigations has been invaluable, and we are confident she will continue to make a positive impact in this new role.”
Captain Cleary’s career reflects a strong commitment to investigative work, leadership, and serving the community. Her experience and dedication will continue to strengthen the department in her new role.
