Community Support Makes a Splash: SPD Raises Funds for 2026 Special Olympics Iredell County

The Statesville Police Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our community for supporting this year’s Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics Iredell County.

Thanks to the generosity and encouragement of our residents, businesses, and supporters, the SPD team raised over $1,250 toward this incredible cause. Altogether, the event generated more than $30,000 to benefit Special Olympics Iredell County - an outstanding achievement that will have a lasting impact.

Funds raised through the Polar Plunge help provide meaningful opportunities for local athletes to train, compete, and thrive through Special Olympics programming. These opportunities promote confidence, teamwork, and inclusion across our community.

We are proud to take part in events like the Polar Plunge that strengthen partnerships and support such an important mission. Most of all, we are proud to serve a community that consistently shows up to make a difference.
