Muffin is one of our nine guinea pigs and possibly one of the loudest! Did you know that guinea pigs have several different vocalizations that all have their different meanings. Wheeking is the most popular noise, and it means, “feed me now!”

Following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, Muffin arrived at Rescue Ranch in October 2024 with three other guinea pigs. Unfortunately, the family’s home sustained significant damage leading them to the heartbreaking decision to surrender Muffin and her companions.

At Muffin's initial veterinarian exam, it was discovered that she has dental issues that will need continued monitoring to ensure that she is able to eat and chew properly.

Along with her dental issues, Muffin does have arthritis beginning to develop as she is aging. She was born July 13, 2021 and is one of our oldest guinea pigs.
