🏓 Join us Tuesday at 1p as we celebrate the opening of the brand-new pickleball courts at Martin Luther King Jr. Park! We’ll kick things off with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by several hours of open play so the community can get out on the courts and enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. 📍 Then on Thursday at 11a, head to the Statesville Historical Collection at 117 South Center Street for the public unveiling of a Civil Rights Marker honoring the 1960 Woolworth’s lunch counter sit-in. This marker recognizes Statesville’s role in the sit-in movement and its place in North Carolina’s Civil Rights history. Learn more here.
