Statesville Convention & Visitors Bureau and City of Statesville to Host Civil Rights Marker Unveiling

Public Invited to Attend Ceremony at Statesville Historical Collection

The Statesville Convention & Visitors Bureau, in partnership with the City of Statesville, will host a public unveiling of a Civil Rights Marker honoring the 1960 Woolworth’s lunch counter sit-in on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Statesville Historical Collection. Learn more here.

Ribbon Cutting: NEW Pickleball Courts at Martin Luther King Jr Park

City of Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality invites you to join us as we celebrate the opening of the brand-new pickleball courts at Martin Luther King Jr. Park! 

To mark the occasion, we’re hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by several hours of open play on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, giving the community a chance to get out on the courts and enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Learn more here.
